Isaiah 6

Lord, I want to be taken past all the accessoaries of religion.

I want to be taken past the multitudes of people that are wandering to and fro, forever seeking out the places where the most tasty churchprogram for the day is performed and delivered.

I want to be taken past the torn curtain, into the place where every bush I´ve ever been hiding behind burns to cinder, where every lyin´fig leaf withers away.

I want to be taken to the place where I can do nothing but cry out for mercy, because I at last clearly can see and understand that I have unclean lips, and I am living among a people that has unclean lips, and here I stand, naked, before the Lord of Hosts, the King.

I want to be taken into the place where everything that used to be a gain to me becomes a loss, yes, into the place where nothing else matters but the forgiveness that comes through the blood of the Lamb.

I want to be taken into the place where nothing but the truth can survive, where the coal from the altar can touch my lips, where my hunger and thirst for Your righteousness can find Your abundance of living water, and I can drink without being poisoned by the ever present mixture of Your perfect purity and these own homespun dirty clothes that we humans are so eager to dream of and make.

”Take me past the outer courts
Into the Holy Place
Past the brazen altar
Lord I want to see Your face
Pass me by the crowds of people
And the priests who sing Your praise
I hunger and thirst for Your righteousness
But it’s only found in one place

Take me into the Holy of Holies
Take me in by the blood of the Lamb
Take me into the Holy of Holies
Take the coal, touch my lips, here I am”

Kutless ”Take me in”
